Silicone Surfactant

L-6701 is a non-hydrolyzable silicone copolymer specially designed for use in rigid
polyurethane spray foam blown with liquid HCFCs, such as HCFC-141b. Since HCFCs have significantly different solvent potency and vapor thermal conductivity than CFC-11, it is necessary to use a special silicone to obtain optimal k-factor and physical properties. This silicone also gives good results in water-reduced CFC-11 spray foams.

L-6701 is unique in the ability to provide good k-factor, excellent surface, fine cell
structure and excellent adhesion on rigid polyurethane spray foams.

¡Ý Smooth surface in HCFC-141b spray foams. No °Ìorange peeling" as observed with some
  silicones
¡Ý Good k-factor resulting from fine cell structure
¡Ý Excellent adhesion to substrates and foam-to-foam spray adhesion during spraying.

¢ºApplications
L-6701 offers superior performance to exiting silicones in rigid polyurethane spray foams.
A preferred use level of this material is 1.0 part by weight per 100 parts of polyol. However, since optimal concentration is dependent on the requirements of the individual application and formulation, the use level may vary.
